WhetWare WhetWare

Terms of Service

Last updated 25 October 2026

These terms apply when you use any application operated by WhetWare LLC (“WhetWare”, “we”) — including Personal Vault, SplitTab, Musicians Hub, Ledger, MyPaths, Rentals and the WhetWare shop. By creating an account or using a service, you agree to them.

Your account

Acceptable use

Do not use our services to:

We may suspend or close accounts that do these things.

Your content

What you put into our apps stays yours. You grant us only the permission we need to operate the service for you — to store your content, back it up, and display it back to you and to anyone you deliberately share it with, such as through a MyPaths share link. We do not claim ownership of it and we do not use it to train anything.

You are responsible for having the rights to what you upload, and for the consequences of sharing it publicly.

Paid plans, purchases and refunds

Availability

We work to keep the services running, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we will give reasonable notice before withdrawing a paid service. Keep your own copies of anything you cannot afford to lose.

Disclaimers

The services are provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. In particular, nothing in Ledger, SplitTab or any other app constitutes financial, tax, legal or professional advice, and automated features such as receipt reading can make mistakes — check the results before relying on them.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, WhetWare will not be liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost data. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or 100 US dollars. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Termination

You can stop using the services and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate an account that breaches these terms, or where we are required to by law. On termination, your right to use the services ends; the sections on content ownership, disclaimers and liability survive.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and of the state in which WhetWare LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes will be brought in the courts of that state.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The date at the top shows the current version, and for material changes affecting account holders we will give notice by email. Continuing to use a service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
